giveaway: Nurse the baby print!
"NURSE THE BABY
your protection against trouble
inform yourself through the health bureau publications and consult your doctor"
Sometimes it's hard to find cool vintage stuff that aligns with one's natural parenting leanings. My heart is basically one big soft spot for old, well-loved things, but so often those things are deathtraps covered in lead paint or too fragile for everyday use.
One exception is art. In the 1930s and 40s, The Works Progress Administration commissioned tons of amazing posters and flyers, and while most of those original pieces are falling apart or discolored, many have been digitized and are available to view in the Library of Congress. That doesn't help your nursery walls, though, does it?
Well, Roosevelvet's Etsy shop has carefully restored versions of lots of the WPA art, in various sizes, that are really awesome and perfect for your nursery, kids' room, kitchen, classroom, doctor's office, bathroom... you know, basically anywhere with walls. For my very first giveaway, I have, with the help of some serious eyelash batting, convinced Mr. Roosevelvet (also known as my partner, Nathan) to offer up one of his beautifully restored "Nurse the Baby" 11x14 inch art prints for one of my (um, like two) faithful readers.

Ahh, imagine a time when the entire government could agree that breast is best. Good luck!
